  1. I like your subject, it's very unique for a still-life-drawing and shows a lot of detail. How about you play a little bit with it more, add some interesting colors to the white/grayish plug station, a color that reflects energy maybe so the colors are connected with yout theme. It's awsome, Tina!

  2. It's a pretty risky subject for a still life and it looks great. Think about how you will make the wire look even more interesting and think about the space around it (put ants on the wall or a few scratches or something). There is so much you could still do with it. Think about adding a little more contrast because the whites and grays are the dominate focus in the picture. There is a past AP student who did a concentration about outlets and electrical wires (they got a 6); look at that to get some ideas and to think about how to make it even more interesting.

  3. The socket is well rendered and taking a wonderful form. Really strong t shaped composition might need to be broken up with another cord, more contrast or add color to modulate the monochromatic feel.

  4. i love the color, i think it will be better to add some brownish color in to the shadow because it looks pretty pale now. cant wait to see the piece done.

  5. It looks really good with the colors you added! It also has a lot more detail since I saw it last. I like the subject, I would never have thought of painting an electrical socket-it's a really creative idea. I think adding a little more shadow and contrast through darks and lights will make the painting have even more depth. Maybe a few more twisty electrical chords would be interesting, but it's good the way it is. I really like it!

  6. I like how this is a very close up/ realistic painting, which really shows your technique and skill. I think it would look more polished if there were a bit more contrast and shadow. But I think this is a really impressive pieces since I will never be able to do that so great work Tina!!

  7. i love the composition here and what part of the plug you chose to include. If you wanted you could play more with color and add some brighter shades. Otherwise, it's great!! good job!
